Damn hot rod guys, always cross contaminating brands
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Cliff Lett RC10 Replica / '90 ROAR Nats
Got this stuff back from ano. I'm not super thrilled with this batch, but it's my own fault. I left some imperfections (knicks and scratches) that I knew I should have taken out but didn't. Mainly on the inside of the tub. The ano itself is fine. I still have to clean off the edges where I cut stuff before ano, and have the 2 slot milled.
If I can get up to the v-nats this year, this car may be hitting the track in 2wd. So it'll get beat up anyway.

yeah, it's not quite the orange/gold it needed to be. but it's a good shade for an early tub.

When I was young, I tried to use a file to get the gold tub chassis of my Championship Edition to be like Cliff Lett's chassis.
Suffice to say, it did not go well...
Car currently has a green tub that was picked up during a clearance sale years ago.

I don't know what it is about that look, but I really like it. I wonder why AE never made a worlds chassis in gold ano. The gold and white was so iconic. Part of the brand really. Perhaps that is hind sight.scr8p wrote:Milling is done, time to throw some parts at it.

Little update on this one.
Been working on it here and there. Trans is all rebuilt, the sides of the bulkhead were chopped, mounting holes on the tower were countersunk, and also drill the holes to attach the antenna tube to the tower with a zip tie.
Still a long way to go.....

Great job on that chassis. Hopefully those left over gouges are going to eat at ya.
