NIX10M

Post by RC10th »

I am proud to announce another one of Niki's masterpieces, the NIX10M. This project started about 8 months ago when we set out to build the most versatile mid mount RC10. It captures all of the features you'd want in a race car and enables you to build it the way you want, the possibilities are endless.

The NIX10M is offered in both 2.5mm for low grip and 3.2mm for high grip surfaces, it will accept both saddle and shorty packs. Standard worlds steering or race steering can be used , worlds steering requires a low profile servo. The NIX10M can also be built with either buggy or truck nose plates depending on what you want. With Niki's BB spring adaptors you can easily run big bore springs on the V2 shocks.

Using the B44.2 lipo cradles you can mount saddles in 3 different positions - forward, middle and back. Shorty packs can also be quickly mounted sideways without changing the cradle.

Using a second battery cup you can mount a shorty pack inline. This type will fit both steering types, however, in order to use the worlds steering you need to move the front cup back one set of holes and use alternate battery strap mounting holes.

Lastly, with an extra battery cup you can mount a shorty pack sideways in two positions, forward or back. The turnbuckle requires being shortened approximately 1.5mm. Some batteries may also require slight trimming of the battery brace for clearance of the bullet connectors.

Wow is right this looks beautiful, congrats guys.. Quick question can you use the shock spring collars on the original team shocks? Who is doing the chassis and may I ask was cost the only idea behind the separate nose plates an could it be done in a full chassis with kick up included? Thanks mate

I'll have to check on this for you tomorrow but I think the tab on the ride height clips may interfere with the collar. Jake (seabass) from CNCrc in the business section cut our chassis. As far as pricing goes that's up to Jake. The nose plate design makes the one chassis more universal as someone can run both nose plates without having to buy two chassis. It also allows for a thinner chassis to be used for low grip.

The wheelbase has been extended to that of modern buggies. Both the Turbo Mirage and Viper bodies have been tested and fit. I'm sure that the Protech will also fit but is untested.

This chassis can also be used for a truck.

NIX10M front tower has been extended to accept big bore shocks and the rear tower features an adjustable wing height.
