Jammin Jay's Prototype RC10 4WD Replica
Fun project: 1985 1 st 1/10 IFMAR Jammin Jay Halsey prototype RC10 4WD
The 1st IFMAR 1/10 off-road world championship 4WD class Jammin Jay Halsey’s car, I want to make exactly the one as Jammin Jay Halsey’s car. But with limited information on hand, this is what I can make the nearest right now. More work will be done, will keep you posted.

Been waiting to try this one so I'm glad to see someone blazing the trail for me! Keep up the good work!

This is something I also always wanted to see. Can we have a look at the other side of the tranny and what kind of front diff are you using? Good luck with this!

Stage update (11 July).
Busy at work last week, so not much progress.
The 2nd spur (Slipper Clutch for front and rear wheels)
Front shocks tower and caster block.

Very interesting. I didn't look too closely, but it doesn't look like a very good layout. I can't wait to see more.

I agreed that the layout compare with MIPs or other members' project is not the perfect one.
But thought that is a legend. In 1985 IFMAR Jay took 2nd in 4WD class with this car.

I know and that's why it's so cool. Cool factor is high, design, not so much, but it was something for the others to build on.Cow175 wrote:vintage AE wrote:Very interesting. I didn't look too closely, but it doesn't look like a very good layout. I can't wait to see more.

Looking better and better here! Have you calculated the front/rear ratio?

The original 6 gear tranny ratio is 1.83 on rear, for front one-way drive, I set it a bit faster in 1.78. But I can change the 2nd pin gear to adjust the front rear ratio.Asso_man! wrote:Looking better and better here! Have you calculated the front/rear ratio?
