Maybe I'll keep my eye out for some of those drivers in the UK.

Probably start with the small sizes and work up.

Since you're not concerned with salvaging the axle, your best bet is to drill it out slowly and carefully. The kingpin may loosen up once you remove most of it. Even if you nick the kingpin a tad, it wont render it unusable.

I agree with the others about tool quality, and that's especially true when messing with those tiny screws. But if you do this long enough, you'll eventually run across more screws that have been stripped to the point where a drill is the only option. For that, I recommend a set of these:

115 Pc High Speed Steel Drill Bit Set with Index

I know, Harbor Freight isn't known for quality tools, but I use these bits for this sort of thing. At ~$28 with the discount, I'm not too worried about breaking any, even though I haven't yet. I just used them a couple of days ago to remove a set screw from one of my son's airsoft guns. Got the screw out and saved the threads to boot.

Well the JB Weld didn't work.

Whatever is holding that screw in certainly has a grip on it.

I'll have to continue with alternative parts and revisit this screw at a later date when I have the equipment to try drilling it out.
