RC10 Worlds Rebuild / WOIN / Mid Motor / ?????
I've been out of the hobby for a little while, but I've started racing touring cars this past season at a carpet track near me and starting March they are going to start up Carpet Off Road for a few months. I bought this 1993 Worlds Car, which some of you may have seen on ebay recently. It was pretty local to me so I went and picked it up.
The tub is in great shape, so I won't be cutting it or drilling any additional holes. Looks like it was raced with a chassis guard glued on. My immediate plans are to take everything apart and clean it out and rebuild it stock for now. I would like to add mk-zero's mid motor conversion once that is available, and maybe down the road I'll do a full quadra symmetrical conversion.
I'm going to use a Speed Passion 17.5 motor, with a HobbyWing Justock ESC. I think I'll use the transverse short battery cups, and I'm going to be using a modern low profile servo from one of my touring cars. For tires I'm going to be using Cut Staggers on the front, and Mini Pins on the back, both in yellow compound. I'll probably go with the typical Turbo Mirage body.

I don't think you can go wrong with the HW justock esc. I've been very happy with mine. Hard to beat for the price. I was running a speed passion 17.5 with mine but have switched to a Reedy M3 17.5. I currently have it in my b6, but I also have an old b stamp gold pan set up for carpet. I have been considering a mid motor conversion, but not sure yet.

Nice grab. These early Worlds car are not so easy to come by these days especially in such a good shape. You have RCPS titanium turnbuckles to boost!
It looks like the cat is disappointed as he was probably expecting a Schumacher

That should clean up nicely!
I have everything back in stock for the B1m kits. I've been as sick as a dog though so I may not be able to ship for a few more days.

Took it apart and cleaned the parts. The tub and composite parts cleaned up pretty well with goo gone and dish soap. The plastic bits only needed some soap and water. I don't think I'll bother with hydrogen peroxide to whiten them. They're not super yellow to begin with. The front kick up plate is pretty rough, with scratches and discoloration from whatever adhesive was used on it to secure a chassis protector. I'll keep my eyes open for a decent 10T front kick up plate, but for now I'll use the original. It is a runner after all, and my track requires a chassis protector or film, so it will be covered anyway.
Haven't ordered tires, wheels, or a body yet, but I have an idea of what I want to do, and it's gonna be colorful

Re: RC10 Worlds Rebuild / WOIN / Mid Motor / ?????
This build is gonna go in a different direction.
Everything is just about back together besides the shocks, which I still need to clean and rebuild. I'm getting pretty discouraged by the guys at my track talking about all the fancy latest gen mid motor laydown transmission expensive exotic buggies they're buying. I figure I probably won't be super competitive anyway (my fault, not the RC10's) so I would rather run a fully vintage buggy as close to original as possible. Besides, it's so pretty all cleaned up as is.
Ordering wheels, tires, and a Viper body as soon as it's back in stock on Amain. I think I prefer the Viper to the Turbo Mirage.

Are RCPS turnbuckles rare?

It's a roller now, need to add my electronics. I still need to order a 17.5 motor, wheels, tires, and a body.
