Nice! Did you machine a space inside the wing mount posts to accommodate o-rings like the Yokomo design? It would sandwich the wing with the disks of the wing mounts, help tightening and dampening the wing in case of a shock.

I've bent and cut both tubes to match, well, almost! The right side is about +1mm so have to adjust it with some fine file work from both ends. I'm using Factory Works, black socket head cap screw (4-40 sized) load spread washers on the ends. Besides looking cool, they will do what they are designed to do, spread the load. I believe, this will be beneficial for the nose plate brace tubes.

That's such a simple and elegant way to brace the nose plate. I can't think of a better way. Well done! Looks fantastic!!

I worked deep into the night to finish up the nose plate brace tubes. I'm real happy with them, turned out perfectly.

HEY, it's a roller. It won't be long now. Everything looks really good and I like those wheels. Electronics and body/wing paint next?

Yep, electronics and wing work!

This is the "tool" I made and used on the brace tube ends. It has double set screws to secure it to the brace tube, allowing me to square the ends and take off a bit of material to fine tune lengths as needed.

While I'm working on the rear wing, (camera is on charge) I starting sorting out the electronics. I'll use a Hobby Wing XR10 Justock. First thing, I remove the Yellow/Blue/Orange wires along with the black and red. New, out the box these wires are soldered to the posts "standing up". I used TQ Wire 13awg for the motor and some Novak Super Flex for the battery wires. I soldered the wires "laying flat". This will give me a cleaner look in the end. I've not soldered the cap back on yet, need to see where it will mount and if I can shorten the wires.

Once my camera is charged I'll come back and show you a cool "trick" that I came up with on the wing wire attachment.

Okay, been waiting 8 1/2 hours now. How long does it take to charge a camera battery? :D

OK!

All those familiar with the Factory Works shock tower wing mount know that 1/16" wire is a bit loose in the mount. It sort of distorts your carefully measured wing work by not tightening up even like. My fix was to silver solder a piece of 1/16" inside diameter brass tube on the ends. Now, it fits snugly in the aluminum mount. A bit anal retentive? Sure!

This all looks so ridiculously simple... but when one knows the amount of work behind a simple shelf-engineered product, this is totally outstanding

the attention to detail is mind-boggling as usual :P
