the attention to detail is mind-boggling as usual
The wing button isn't squared up
"Smacks forehead" My apologies, missed that!
The body and wing are very close to being done with only some minor touch ups left to do. I was able to get the body low enough on the chassis to trim it level with the bottom of the chassis plate.
I'm getting some wiring/soldering done over the next couple of days.

That's a cool trick using the brass sleeve. Since you've made the wing's button fixtures from scratch, could you also have sized them to use larger wire that is a direct fit to the FW mounts? Anyway, I like how the body roof sits below the top of the shock plate as it places the wing high and in cleaner air. Should look awesome when it's painted. Nice work Nomad!!

The wing buttons could have been sized for fatter wire, alas... I don't have any.

I got some wiring done last night/this morning. The small plate I was working on turned into an ESC capacitor mount. Slick?, yes, really needed?, no but I do things like that all the time.
ESC to motor wiring with 2.5mm gold plated bullets. I'm seeing a little gold showing so my shrink wrap needs to be re-done.

Ive been watching the progress of this car since i signed up on this site. Man this thing is really cool and all the parts you made are top notch.
I tried to go on the factory works website and it appears to be down. It just says image coming soon...

I just checked and my website is up, although we don’t have a lot of pics added. Honestly we keep so busy getting product made and out the door I just don’t have time to sit down and do the web stuff. Most of our popular stuff is on eBay as well. FactoryWorksRC
Were you checking here?
www.factoryworks.com
Or here
www.vintageteamaandl.com
Both go to the same place, and are both up on my end

Best bet is have a look at the Factory Works products listed on eBay (I do) and if you see something of interest, you can find more about it by getting with GoMachV here on the forum. Simple, easy, and definitely a rewarding experience.

Back to the build this morning...
If I install the fan on the ESC it doesn't clear the body. To help with cooling, I cut a couple of vent slots in the body.
Mark out for position and drill holes...
With an x-acto knife, do some cutting...
After some work with a diamond coated file, they look pretty good.
I'm getting close to being ready to get into some painting.

I just read this entire thread. Just amazing. Love the attention to detail. I so want to get myself set up with a lathe. I love the custom touches. They really set it apart.

Thank you very much.
I really like to make small things for a build that are not readily available. I was doing just that when the sun was rising this morning... for another build (SSC10)!
