Very cool piece of history!!!
They're pre-production! Or pre-pre-pre production. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :P

Actually, what you said sounds about right to my memory. I suppose it's possible Mr Raceles didn't notice, or wasn't aware of the notches. Idk, I'm not that worried about it. Maybe if I can get my hands on an original set I will put them on there.

I will do a good photo shoot eventually. Probably after I clean it up and install the engine etc.

I think it's awesome trucks like this are still out there. Its like finding that extra rare muscle car that's been locked away in a barn for 30 yrs. I had this on my watch list on the bay, congrats on the win.

Thanks for updating the pics Justin, I never got to see the original thread. Was cool reading through all the pages, love threads like these with history attached to it.

Any chance you have updated pics with the motor and radio gear installed?

Thanks,
Mark

Definitely a cool truck with some history. I was a little skeptical about the authenticity of it being a sponsored drivers chassis at first. Was glad to see it was the real deal. I wanted to buy it just for the body honestly. But at the time I couldn't justify its price for only wanting the body.

Glad to see you're still around Justin. I'd also like to see how the truck looks in its current form with running gear.

Sorry guys, no new pics to post at this time. It's actually pretty dusty/dirty from sitting on my hobby room shelf, it really needs to be torn down and cleaned up. I did install a nice used OS12CZ-Z, a nice set of factory team shocks, and some period correct turnbuckles, but then ended up taking the engine back out for some reason that I don't even remember right now. I still haven't got the radio gear, don't even know for sure what specifically I'm looking for. I also put the original rear tires and wheels back on it. I think I forgot to mention it before, but they came with it when I bought it. I will finish it up eventually, I'll post pics when I do. For now I'm happy just having it on my shelf to look at. I take it down and admire it from time to time. :)
