Installing the hex adapters to the rear CVA's. Instead of using the three 0.005" shims, I'm using one CRC brand 0.015" (pan car axle) shim. I've seen mention here and there on the forum to use a piece of shrink tubing as a safety device for the CVA pivot pin. It looked really clean so I've followed suit. I'm using a delrin (black part) spacer against the alum. hex, tighten the nut with the 11/32" nut driver to press the hex onto the axle. This will be a nice, controlled, operation. No hammer allowed!

very nice! They are a tight taper fit, not something we are used to on Associated- its more of a Kyosho thing. Once they are on, they are very true!

I received a really slick looking rear shock tower from GoMachV this morning, everything fits just right!

I've got V2 1.18" shocks in the rear with no down stops. Digging the CVA to outdrive fit.

This is turning out really awesome! Now I’m getting the itch to build a trailing arm truck!

Thanks guys! I need a servo, Savox or Futaba. No idea of the torque requirements for a truck.

Truck is really looking good. Savox titanium gear servos are excellent, but I personally like the hitec HS 5625 MG servos for the price. Unless your going to run it on a high grip track, they have plenty of torque and I've found them to be very durable for a servo for around $40. I can't speak for the modern futaba servos because I haven't had a newer one than an s148.

The steering servo arrived today, Savox 1251MG Black Edition. I replaced the funky lead (it was going to be jammed up against the battery box) with one from TQ Wire. It's a little tricky making the swap but I'm getting good at it now. I'm using an XRAY brand composite servo saver. Avid brand black 4-40 servo mounts with black Factory Works load spreading button head washers. Stainless steel button head screws complete the installation.

Thank you! I got stalled a bit (low hobby funds) but got some stuff ordered last night. I ended up having to order a truck body straight from JConcepts, none were available from my usual sources. :?

Saturday morning USPS brought 2 packages, got to love it!

I've replaced the temporary camber and steering turnbuckles with Lunsford 3mm Punisher's and RPM rod ends.I've done a first trim on a JConcepts #0307 1993 Ford F-150 Team Truck Body. I've seen mostly the Chevy truck body on the forum so I opted to go this way. It's going to fit nicely with the Factory Works trailing arm conversion. I'll have to make some custom length rear body posts, that's no problem for me.
