Networkreef’s Stable
I have a few vehicles (Team AE, HPI, Tamiya) I’ve been working on / collecting for the past 15 years or so. I absolutely love this hobby as I find that these vehicles are functioning works of art. You not only use your brain to build and fix these things, but you can also get really creative! I cannot think of any other hobby that provides that.
So, first up is my Rc10gt factory team. Purchased off of eBay 10+ years ago, it has been completely stripped down (every screw and ceramic diff bearing) and rebuilt with NOS components that took a few years to source together. Has a JConcepts RC10T body mutilated to fit.
It has way too many upgrades to list, but it is a mix of Factory Team parts, MIP, RPM, Lunsford, and Hammad Ghuman. It is anything BUT stock
This is my RC10T2. Another ebay find with an original unpainted body. This was my first attempt to do a typical mid 90’s paint scheme one might expect to see on the track 20 years ago. Truck is mostly stock except for a few Factory Team parts. I would say it is along the lines of “Old meets New”.
This is my HPI Nitro RS4-3. This was the very first nitro vehicle I ever built back in 2005. Originally came with the 12r SS motor, it has been swapped out with an OS CVRX .15 motor, CVEC pipe, MIP racing clutch, MIP shafts, and the typical assortment of carbon fiber and various aluminum parts.

Thanks everyone! This may need to go back to The Gallery as I upload more of my completed vehicles. Not all are RC10’s

Uh oh... looks like we got a new project!
First gen Rc10gt ebay find. Just finished completely rebuilding the backend. I plan to keep this one as close to OEM as possible with the exception of an OS engine.
And yes, that gas tank was stained horrifically because of the blue fuel that was sitting in it for years. Apparently, it is just about impossible to find replacement tanks... so “undyeing” that tank was the first step. That and also removing the unknown solidified latex-based glue all over the chassis and electronics.

Lovely black GT A good friend of mine has let me drive his (all white) GT two decades ago, and I have fond memories of it! the thing was so plushly suspended it was unreal
(shameless plug: I have a dirt cheap, brand spanking new OS-10 FP for you in my for sale thread if you want one... )

How did you unstain the tank? I've got a few yellowish stained tainks from O'Donnell fuel.

Re: Networkreef’s Stable
I filled the tank with brush cleaner (jasco brand) from lowes and let it sit for about an hour while occasionally shaking the tank. I started with denatured alcohol but it wasnt strong enough. After letting it sit, I then rinsed the whole thing out with denatured alcohol and let it air dry with the gas tank lid partially opened.
