I've been looking for a NIP fluorescent yellow or pink chassis and nose plate for a 10T build to no avail. So I guess I am settling on black for now. What did AE have available for these trucks through the years? I've seen websites breaking down the RC10 chassis changes, but can't find anything showing the RC10T chassis changes/options.
Has anyone tried welding the older worn out or unused holes to redrill fresh holes. I have an worn chassis with elongated rear holes and was wondering if it has been tried with good/bad luck. And looking for any advice.
While browsing the bay yesterday I came across a graphite rc10 tub, the guy said it was a fusion, does anyone know anything about these? Do they handle well?

Check out my thread for details of the fibrelyte tub.
Mine is very thick, super light, and rediculously strong. Being carbon, and not graphite, its not brittle and I doubt it'll suffer any real wear. As for the weight difference affecting the...
This might have been talked about already here but I didnt see it. I have been told by Fibrelyte they will no longer make any CF tubs and removed them from their site. I have good reason to believe I may have the last one ever produced and me, along...

I wonder if it's because they are using thicker carbon nowadays. It definitely looks thicker than the vintage tubs. Maybe that makes it harder to work with?
I've got a vintage Fibrelyte tub on a Cougar 2000, and the quality is top notch. It seems a...
I decided to dig out my old RC-10 to clonk around the yard and such alongside my son, who got a duratrax buggy for the holidays. I think the last time i ran it was 1991, it was torn down and stored since then. I had never contemplated how horrible...

quite possible :) had to get rid of that paddle/slick combo. maybe great for LTO ;), but general yard bumping it's not the way to go hehe
Just cleaned up my tub and noticed its not flat.
Took a bad pic against the wall to try and show, forgive the state of my work table!!
It doesnt seem to have ever had any impact.
I appreciate even if they are ment to be flat, its a stamped product...

part of the issue is that you see some flex as the sides of the tub move in and out. you need to rigidly fix the sides as well when reshaping the chassis. Or just get it close and not worry about it.
I looked through this section and I haven't seen anything mentioned about restoring gold tubs.
What are you guy's doing to restore scratched up and worn anodizing on the gold tubs?
I'm looking to make a vintage shelf queen buggy to go with my...

been there...done that too...hammertone paint:
Is hammertone not a good idea for a runner? Is it heavier than anodizing or powdercoating? I have no shelf queens...I only run 'em in the dirt.
Frist one. I rebuilt my Edinger and used a NIP tub that I bought 15 to 20 years ago. And it has no marking on it. It dosn't have a A , B ,or C stamped in it. It a 6 gear only tub.
What is it.
the other Q is. This is the Tub off my Edinger car....

Good to know that a real early Edinger exists with no stamp - interesting. I never checked on my original car that is long gone, but my current real Edinger is stamped.
Thanks for sharing.
My M12 is using the 92524 FSS2 receivers in a few cars other than my main rig.
While using the standard AMB (three hole version) transponders with the M12 and 92524 in the aluminum tubs the signal is great. But while...
