10L graphite...what year?

Post by makoman1860 »

I got a box of cars in an auction today, and this one was tossed in. Im assuming a 10L graphite? Never got into the pan cars like this. Is this like a mid 90's chassis? Thought it might be fun for the kids to bash around on the taxi ways. Unless it is something that has more collector value than fun value?

Between 1990 and 1993. Yours has the rear cross brace which the 10L didn't have at first but seems to have gotten after the SS came out. You've got an HPI lower rear pod plate on it too.

I'd say find something else for your kid to bash with. Not so much because the car's all that special but because pan cars kind make meh bashers.

Prepare for lots of spinouts.

Pan cars can be fun but it's like trying to sprint across the ice of a frozen lake

If you do decide to use it as a basher soften the rear of the car up as much as you can. Put a motor in it with low power like Tamiya silver can or 21.5t. Turn the punch down, make sure the tires are soft and put a body on it with a lot of downforce that has the rear panel cut out.

Cool thanks guys!
We have this area which is like perfectly flat asphalt that might be kind of fun. I could always go out with some sugar water before hand
