Re: As if I didn't have enough projects part 32, the Orlando

Well, I didn't take a lot of pics of the next few steps as it was so simple. Laid in the brass optional gear set (note they are a finer pitch and not compatible with stock plastic gears). I also still need to final adjust the rod lengths, making sure the axles are square and 4* tipped per the manual.

I took some time and stripped the receiver of its male pins, and hard wired the speed control to it. Works great and so much smaller! Looks like I will have plenty of room for a drivers bust at least. I ordered another smaller battery pack, this one is a little tall and a little long for where it goes. Stepping down to a 300mah. Test run went great but I'll wait for the proper pack to make a short video.

Also, while i did install the headlight led's, I don't have the proper resistors so I ordered them, along with some extra orange and red prewired smd led's for markers and brake lights. I also ordered a switch to use on the fourth channel- maybe I'll find a use for it. More pics to come as I finish it up

The 300mah pack is perfect! I also got a couple of switches so I can use the fourth channel for something. Not sure what tho! Lol. I'll have plenty of room for a decent size interior now. I should have the lighting done this week once my resistors show up 8)

I wish I knew how! I can only do the flat stuff. I think Fred swain has most if not everything drawn up for a stock rc10, id love to see the parts shrunk down and printed!

As for your efforts, GMV, this is looking like a great build.... although the subjects in the pictures are probably bigger on the PC that in person!
