Looks like the same platform as the truck https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=42476
Still disappointed there's no front suspension, but I think I'm going to have to get the buggy version anyway!

You've got a 3D printer to fix problems like that.

I will have to order one of these! I just got the truck version today (Christmas present to myself :) )

The little truck runs pretty good, but by far my favorite thing about it is the 10T look - and this little buggy will make the perfect companion!

I'm going to have to get one of these as well. I actually like it better that they're more toy like than say a Losi Micro-T for example. It's all self-contained, and you can simply plug them in to charge via USB accessory akin to a smart phone. I just want something small and simple to zoom around the house with, and you can't beat the price!

Haha.
Looks like they just rebranded this thing. I may try to find a spare chassis when I buy one so I can start designing new parts for it

Alright, damn it, order placed. They show out of stock, no ETA listed that I saw. I'm already designing a front bulkhead, tower, and front suspension in my head

Got the truck, and its definitely toy grade. Ill probably get the car eventually too. The crappyness of the car has be conflicted as to whether i actually like it

A lot of guys seem to like these things, and I don't want to be the wet blanket of the group, but I have to be honest here---I thought these were a big disappointment. Toy grade is definitely correct. Maybe I was expecting too much. I was hoping they would be more on par with the Losi micro t. At $50 that would be dreaming I guess. A bunch of the guys at my local track bought these and were playing with them on a mini track in the pits. After about five minutes, I was glad I didn't waste $50 on one. I almost fell for it when I saw the one with the 10T body. The guy at my lhs has been working on his to get it faster and steer properly with limited results. I would have gladly paid more for a better quality offering with available upgrades and tuning capabilities. These look like a product of New Bright---not my beloved Team Associated.

Exactly my thought- I’d have easily paid double for one with proper suspension and then sell me some upgrades too! that’s not really their scope- which makes the retro bodies even more confusing haha. Oh well, they do look really cool!

Yeah, I'm not expecting much, but I want to see if I can make them better, too.
I have Losi Micro DT's and they are fantastic, and there is no end to the mods available for them. If any of you guys want a seriously fun micro get one of them.

Wow! I just watched a video on the the losi micro dt and I think I have to have one! Upgrades available include lipos and brushless motor?! That's what I'm talking about! I'm even willing to look past the ugly body. Now why couldn't AE make their little trucks like this. I wonder if the 10T body would fit on the micro dt?

Yup, lipos and brushless are available for them, not to mention pretty much every single part in aftermarket form.

I haven't done much to mine, mainly just bearings. For a small indoor area like my living room they are plenty fast stock. For one though I got a Baja bug body for it 8)

I'm thinking the bodies wouldn't be compatable between the AE RC28's and the Losi Micros, which are 1:36 scale
