Treasure, Lost and Found
I was on a hunt this morning for the wall charger to my little Makita 1/4" drill. It was taking awhile, found all kinds of things I had forgotten where it was or if I even knew I had one! I was down to two boxes left and found the charger. In the same box...
Two 5-cell Rx battery packs! I figure I got these in the 70's - 80's. They are a bit dirty/dusty but appear to be in great shape.

Re: Treasure, Lost and Found
Check these out!
Vintage gold plated Yokomo battery bars. They other 3 are unknown manufacturer, maybe Stage III. I was using Stage III stuff to build Clodbuster battery packs back in the day.

Cool. Don't think I ever used battery bars before. I always used flat braid. Not sure but, now that I think about it, this may have been the same stuff used for slot car track contact wipers. It's always interesting what you can find when your not looking.

it's always cool to find stuff you forgot about, even better if it's something you know you have but lost and find much later.
I took an aluminum driveshaft out of a trans am a really long time ago to use in my Z28, 10 +yrs later, I find the darned thing in a storage area looking for something totally different.

Re: Treasure, Lost and Found
I think I may have found something rather rare... Another, deeply stashed box has yielded some truck bodies, and some other lexan stuff. Once I give them all a bath (30+ years of dust) I'll get some pics.
One of them that has made me grin is a clear Dahm's Slammer XL. No bag or header card, only a small portion of the tail has been cut, just up to the i.d. portion.
Edit: The Slammer has been cut at the trim lines (back in the day) very precise like Cleaning it up now!

I loved Ira Dahm's bodies. It's a shame he stopped.
I used to run a Dahm's Rammer back in the day.

"Rammer" Would that have been a Dodge Ram truck body?

Re: Treasure, Lost and Found
Cool, I have no idea what a "Dahm's Slammer XL" body looks like. I have a Dahms Optima Mid body - the only body I have from them. I also have stashed away in a box somewhere what I think is a very early AE truck body that is unpainted. I should post a pic of it in the "what is it?" thread.NomadRacer wrote: ↑Mon Jan 08, 2018 8:19 am I think I may have found something rather rare... Anyway, I'm anxious to see what you've found.
