What next

Post by Dadio »

I've been collecting my boyhood RC dream cars for a couple of years and have so far amased the following cars .
1 Yokomo YZ834-B Dogfighter
2 Kyosho re release Scorpion
3 Ayk Sidewinder
4 Hirobo Zerda
and now there's only 4 left.
1 Tamiya SRB
2 RC10
3 Mugen Bulldog
4 Schumacher Cat XLS
So , the bulldog is too rich for my blood and I'll probably never be able to afford one plus I'm into runners not shelters .
That leaves an SRB ,an RC10 or a Cat, the SRB is pretty easy to come by as it was very popular and re released so there's no time pressure , so I'm thinking this is one of my favourite haunts so I should really get an RC10 but I'm supprising green when it comes to the gold pan , or the Schumacher Cat ......
Any thoughts
Things to consider
1 my cars are all runners so parts will eventually be needed
2 I'm happy with re releases but enjoy hunting for that elusive part as well
3 I'm always on a budget
Help
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

The trouble with the RC10, you can't stop at one!

They breed by themselves.

They all breed , 2 years ago I had 1 now I'm (and the wife) looking at 8 lol . I might have to sell another modern car and start hiding some of the others in my workshop ......I might be developing a problem

Well I've now got an answer to my own question , I've managed to end up with a lot of Yokomo yz-834b parts left over , mostly modern CNC parts and some I made myself that I originally used to build my first Dogfighter but I've managed to replace with genuine parts , add to those parts a few recent lucky finds some of witch are going to swap out with my complete Dogfighter and i have the basis for building a more rough and ready, not so genuine runner , might be a belt drive or use more easy to find Kyosho chain and sprockets , I may stretch it as well to a more modern wheelbase and widen the track , possibly a slipper , not sure about the possibility of one way roller bearings up front , anyway new build thread soon.
