Are lipos safe if they're maintained at storage volts and in the fridge or is it best to keep them outside the home?

think about how 'easy' it would be to make something with gasoline and sell it if it was new technology today. :? How about Nitro fuel?

XLR8, I would keep lipos in a safe place like an ammo box or lipo bag/vault on a non combustible surface. For instance, I keep all mine a few feet away from combustibles, in lipo bags or ammo boxes on the basement floor.

**don't sealed and clamp the ammo box, I usually lightly close and flip the first loop under the latch, without latching completely.

Yeah, I agree, this hobby can be terribly expensive. ... and dangerous if you aren't careful.
I can't buy a basement but I can certainly buy a sturdy ammo box and find a nice safe corner in the garage somewhere to park it.
Thanks for the advice.

This thread reminded me of the fire slotcarrod unfortunately had: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=35188

It also made me further consider investing in one of those Bat-Safes: http://www.bat-safe.com/web/
