I was setting of my new re-re to run next week and decided to go shorty. I order a pack off amazon and one off ebay to compare. The picture below shows what I found. The middle pack is basically the same size as what I have always had and was the Amazon pack. The rear pack was a shorty Turnigy I had for comparison already.

The smaller one shown was the Ebay. I will need to run foam even with my battery box set up for the small ones. As the pic shows it is thinner and about 1/4" shorter than usual shorty as well. I do not have a scale handy but in hand the smaller one is noticeably lighter acknowledging it is only 3500Mah.

I'll report back on run time next week. Initial drive around house says both pull long wheelies with 17.5T on carpet. You could fit this thing in just about anything.

That is a low profile shorty pack (18.5mm height vs standard 25mm). A few different manufacturers make them. They are lighter and have a lower center of gravity. Just search "low profile shorty lipo".

LOL, I was actually going to add a qualifier in that dimensions applied to the battery, but decided to see who would bust my chops first, you win :D

This is good to know. I just bought the same pack but in 5000 mah and it's a little too tall for the SRB radio box. I have to bias it to one side so that where the cables exit the pack can be in the raised portion of the box. This smaller 3500 looks like a better fit

If you guys are interested in running shortie packs side to side I have some custom mounts available that bolt right into to rc10's. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=39282
I've sold quite a few sets of these.
