Brushed motor with neodymium magnets ?

Post by Dadio »

My other main hobby is airsoft , in airsoft brushed motors are still the norm but they now have neodymium magnets , was there ever a brushed RC car motor that had neodymium magnets , I've had a bit of a surf but found nothing , I even bought a modern brushed modified motor and I was half expecting neodymium magnets but no , just normal magnets . Just about all brushless motors have neo magnets , in airsoft motors the neo magnets made a huge performance jump , so why no brushed car motors with neo magnets ? Or are there ? There are still quite a few RTR cars sold with brushed motors so why no neo motors ?
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Then that makes sense , in airsoft the motors are designed for high torque not high rpm so the neo brushed motors would be perfect .
Thanks for the reply .
