A Savox motor??

Post by XLR8 »

Now I've only just returned to the hobby about 4 years ago after a 20 year absence so there's lots of things I've never seen before. I've never seen a Savox brand motor posted on ebay before. I wasn't even aware that Savox made motors. Why is it so cheap? Given their reputation for high-end servos I would expect the same for their motors. Has anyone tried one of these before?

Yes they've forayed into this a bit but w/o the street cred at least in occident... Not a bad reputation tho!

Alright... Update...

I didn't get through to Savox on Friday so I left a message for a call back. This morning, I get a call from Tanaya, saying that the Savox motor was discontinued and they have no stock on hand.

Thanks for reaching out to them Nomad.
Hmm, I wonder what happened. They build some of the best servos on the market and have a stellar reputation so motors should have been easy for them. Maybe it's just a crowded field. Do you know if they ever ventured into ESCs?
