Better than the E main I was in last year :)

2 more qualifiers tomorrow. 2 more chances to get better.
You have got it made! I so wish we had racing like this in Calgary. Just found the thread and read it all, Good luck to ya man! The more pics the better... It is like being there with ya.

Is the track surface the same as last year? You ran through rears like nothing. Maybe a softer or more forgiving foam?? (No idea what I am talking about)

Have fun either way. Go for the gold bud!!

the track is exactly the same, but it isnt eating through the rears like last year. my stock rear tires are a little eaten, but my mod buggy tires looks really good. gonna try some new things tomorrow with the goldie, it wasnt hitting the sweet spot in power or speed, so a motor swap and re-gear is in order. hoping there are some pics soon, i cant take any while im driving.

Another Shootout has come and gone (for me), I wasnt driving worth a crap and had some DNFs that didnt help.

I ended up very, very low down in Stock (F main) and Mod (E main). Wrong tires for the Mod car pretty much killed any chance of a reasonable run. On the final qualifier Saturday night, I put in an okay run, but clipped a pipe after the race driving over to my turn marshal spot...great, broken steering knuckle and bent turnbuckle. Since it was close to a 20 hr day already, I tossed it in the box and didnt mess with it. Come today, after 4 hours of sleep, my son decided he didnt want to run his T4 in Rookie, but his B4...So I pulled the big bores off the Goldie and put them back onto the B4. I drove the B4 for my stock main, killed it easily and bumped up into the E main. Had a couple bobbles in the E, but got within 1 corner of making the bump up into the D main. Missed it by "that much!!". It was fun overall anyways.

I know the best part is time with my son :) He really helped a lot during the mains. I was in race 1 & race 3, after my race 1 win, I bumped into race 4. Race - Marshal - Race - Race - Marshal....he covered my Marshal in race 4 while I was racing.

Other break I didnt mention, which is a first for me...all 4 bolt holes in the re-re motor plate (for my stealth trans) stripped out. Looking at the plate, I like that AE tapered the holes (versus and old plate), but it only gives you a thread or 2 to hold with.

Good your back safe and sound Brian. Dont know about this week, I know I have an Angel game or 2 that I will be going to :)
