I don’t doubt for a second that Wolcott is the best choice and I’m not worried about the surface; it’s more about the big, big jumps that require lots of suspension travel which most of the vintage cars lack. :D

Wolcott Hobby keeps the jumps small on the 1/10th scale indoor track. They have a second location with a 1/8th scale track that gets the big jumps.

it's not the jumps but the surface that concerned me last year. some of the classics just couldn't get any traction, as well as the heavy metal trucks.

I know it's not a huge deal as those are pretty small classes. but it is the vonats....

don't get me wrong the facility is great and the people are great. I'd just like to see a friendlier surface for the oldies.
I think last years layout only went down a few days before the race so it was still pretty wet. I think a drier surface should help the classics and big trucks.

It did make heavy metal pretty fun to watch.
. . . you have Associated Green Slime for brains. And not even new Green Slime, but old gooped out Green Slime.
