Hello from Georgetown, TX

Post by o0zarkaWater »

Hi!

New to the forums and hobby.

I've been wanting to get into RC for a while, and while at the park with my boys 2 weeks ago there was a dad playing with a car with his son. My 6 year old asked if we could get one, so I jumped at the opportunity.

Been browsing craigslist ever since and have picked up 2 new toys. I already have an expensive hobby in my Saltwater Reef tanks, so I'm going to try to do this as cheaply as possible.... at least to start.

Picked up the first car - Nitro Associated RC200 (or something built off that frame) - Very Vintage, will be making my first real post about that.

Less than a week later I just picked up a Traxxas Rustler, older model but it has a few upgrades.

I know neither of those are 100% what this forum is about, but I will make my way into an RC10 as soon as I can!

Looking forward to feeding this new hobby/addiction!

-Chris

Welcome to the forums, Chris. I'm looking forward to seeing your RC200. As for an RC10, recommend that you watch ebay for a bargain fixer-upper. I've gotten several that way.

Howdy

Been a while since I've heard about Georgetown, TX... I have good memories of that place and all the arts and crafts from when I was living in Austin last millenium (gasp  )
