You probably are correct.
Drippin' is just west of Austin and Fredricksburg is about 45 miles west of us.
It has sure changed since we moved here 10 years ago.
We have a Home Depot!

Yup, that's right Chuck. We used to take i think it was 290 from Houston to Austin, go through Austin, and then head west on whatever freeway that is through Dripping Springs toward Fredricksburg. We used to head out there to the TX Hill Country at least twice a year, once for the TX VW Classic and at least one other time just to vacation. Beautiful out there!

Hello Kaare-65
Seems to me that somewhere in town, at one time, there was a spring. I have never gone to investigate.
On the other hand 15 miles n/w of Drippin' is Hamilton Pool. Very nice on a hot summer day!
Plenty of "elbow" room out here in the hill country.

I missed the second part of the question for a second.
Not so impressive as a nuclear engineer or anything like that. I have spent most of my career in the audio industry.
I once owned a store named Radioactivity. Corney, yep, but catchy. Sold my store and kept the "handle".
Welcome from one new Texan to the forum to an other.

Thanks lonestar

After just a few days browsing the site I've come to find loads of info.
I had thought I might have an unhealthy addiction to toy cars.
I'm feeling much better about myself now!
