Hello from the UK

Post by winner_evo »

Hi all,
just thought I'd introduce myself as a new member to the forum having joined a couple of weeks ago.

A bit of background first, I've been out of the hobby for a long time having raced an RC10 in 1985 and then a Schumacher CAT (SWB) in 1986 until selling up all my RC gear in 1988. I Acquired a 1/8 Nitro buggy in 2004 from my nephew, then purchased a Tamiya TT-01 in 2005 and an Associated TC5 FT which I changed to a VTA themed car.

Since then I've had a mild interest in the hobby and recently purchased a secondhand RC10 Classic which has led me here.

The car I bought was well used and a bit neglected but with a lot of Alu Dhawk parts and lots of spares. I decided to strip the car and rebuild it back to original condition and then decide what to do with all the parts.

Here's some pics of the original listing and where I'm up to now...

And how it looks now...

I've got a few cars up and running now, just purchased a Schumacher CAT XLS Masami to build and now plan on building a second RC10 runner using all the surplus parts from from the Re-Re build.

After viewing so many impressive builds on the forum and seeing huge knowledge base, I'm looking forward to being part of RC10Talk :)

Thanks for the welcome guys

I've already started collecting some parts for the second RC10 and looking to get the spare gold pan re-anodised in black.

Will definately start a build thread once I'm in a position to start.
