Interesting thread, but no one seems to have any info for you...!
All I could find are the below screenshots from Gene Husting's video and a lot of guessing....LOL
That's definitely Lett's car during the A-main on those screenshots.
I have to say I am not 100% sure it is a CAT.
Obviously the wheels are black, like a CAT but the shocks seem to be Team AE.
Lett's RC10 body is not trimed between the front shocks and I don't think the
RC10 body can fit between the CAT's front shocks, that's just too narrow.
Of course, I could be wrong.
The thing that could make me believe it is a CAT, is the last image below.
The man in blue shirt at the bottom right of image, I think it is Phil Davies.
This man put Lett's car on the grid before the main.
So, if the man in blue shirt is indeed Phil Davies, then, I would say it is a Schumacher CAT.

Thanks a lot for the pics , I thinks this is the Cliff car.
He used a RCPS Mirage Body on , and the paint look like on the pic
I have , but the car is too small...
And for the shock, I think he used the Associated...

In the days of the XL cat, it was common practice to widen the front of the car by using 2 of the front shock uprights sandwiched together on each side. Maybe that is what was used with the shock mounting ears trimmed off on the inside?

I'll get a scan or pic up later to better explain.

Edit, it is covered in this old article on updating the CAT from Dirt & Track magazine:

This race was just a little before my time. But looking at the results, I don't see how Masami won. I guess there must have been some sort of overall laps/time combo that gave him the win. If it was via todays rules, Jamie Booth should have won. Is there by any chance a discussion about scoring elsewhere in the article? -Jeff

The score at this time, was by addition of the 2 bests results ( lap and time), Masami have 17t and 16t, and Jamie 2 x 16t...

In the beginning I thought Cliff Lett driving a CAT - no way. But I had a quick look at my RRC magazine from that worlds and indeed the tech chart says Cliff Lett on a CAT, shocks are Associated. But no pics.
