Wow, I raced at that race!
Good times!
I still also have my blue AE table with the built in seats for 4, that looks like the Yellow ones the Losi boys used, just a little different.
Thank-you so much for posting these!
:D

I recently bought a collection from a guy who use to race big time back in the day. 9 cars all race ready mods hopped up, And the 834b in your photo looks like the one car I got, maybe. The holes look like the same pattern. Who's photos were these, and any idea who's 834b that is in the picture? Wondering because I got the cars from a relative.

I think you might have Gary Kyes' car there, I am almost certain that is the car in that last photo. That is Gary Kyes there in the silver jacket sitting at that table and those two cars I believe are the 1st prototype cars that Losi was developing that eventually became the JRX2.
Look at the custom machined battery hold-down those two "Losi" cars have, and then look at the one on the first JRX2.

This message board is insanity. What would be the odds that these pictures were just posted and you just bought one of the cars in them?!

I knew Kye's son back in HS. I just saw Gary 2 years ago. He was at the LOSI booth in Pomona at RCX.

Gary was working the mini rock crawlers. He and my son were talking it up for over 20 minutes.
