I hope so, I have used these many a times. Great info and so cool to see. I wish I would have kept all my old issues from way back.

Hi!

First things first. Let me introduce myself (I haven't find any presentation threads).

I am from Spain, and I have owned two cars: A Traxxas The Cat and a Kyosho Stinger MKII. Yeah, I know. A lot of people won't even know them.

I was subscribed to RCCA in 1990-1991, but after having some mags stolen from my mailbox I cancelled my subscription  .

Nowadays I buy RCCA from a local bookstore (at premium price) but I'd like to get all the old magazines I have missed. I have read my mag collection about 6 or 7 time (no kidding) and I left the R/C world with NiCd batteries and brushed motors, and know that I want to come back to the hobby I find myself surrounded by brushless motors and LiPo...

I have contacted RCCA and airage four or five times, with no luck. And after searching and searching I found this thread... too late

So, If anyone is kind enough, I would be grateful if:
* Someone has alternative links to get those old mags.
* Someone knows of any way of getting the mags. I have contacted RCCA and Air Age asking this thing (Any way of buying a digital edition of the old mags?) but they keep sending me info about how to subscribe for a year :?

Thank you very much in advance.

BTW, If anyone needs an article on a very old issue, and I have it, I can scan it and post it where told.

Hello, and welcome! We of course know what those cars are since this is a vintage R/C message board after all.

The problem is the majority of file hosting sites aren't allowing the ability to share uploads any longer which makes it difficult to find a place to host these back issues.

I too wish that I had all my old back issues of RCCA.

I moved to my new home a few years back, and I did not realize the importance (at the time) of my magazine collection.

Some got packed and moved with me, some ended up staying behind. I had all sorts from 1990 on.

I hope we are able to view these eventually.

My bad :)

My Traxass Cat died some time ago, and mi Stinger's CZ-2 engine is working poorly, due to my stupidness when young.

I'd like to get bat to the hobby but I am planning electric instead of gas. Here in Spain gas cars are pretty cheap, but electric ones are scarce and more expensive. But I won't run my cars as frequently as I did when young (less time) so I think I will go better with electric (less maintenance - cleaning after the run, and I am saying less, not no  ).

Thanks for your response!

Nice, that alleviates me from having to look for some advertisement ladened file hosting site on which to upload them to.

Which member here owns that site?

Thanks for the link Scalage!
Could anyone that have the 1986 issues upload them to rapidshare or something?

Son of a... It looks like MegaUpload has just been shut down by the government so my links are dead. :(

Maybe we can get Bill to upload them onto the server here if he has the space.
Holy Crap  I love what the site has been replaced with :!:
