What do you think of the new forum?
Re: What do you think of the new forum?
Any chance the Feedback Thread could be cleaned up somehow? Its truely a mess. Theres no way you can get all the feedback on someone without reading through the WHOLE thread. Some Members have Grouped all their feedbacks in one posts, and update with Smileys. If each Member just had one post like that, it would be much easier. All the "Thanks" and specifics could be left in the BST Area.

if you have feedback to leave, post it here. then if you have more feedback to leave, edit your original post to include the new feedback. make sense?

Once again, I definately appreciate the effort. I am just trying to meddle, just carry on I am sure I'll get used to it.

I've not spent any time messing with controls since the change. I think Bill is starting to wonder why he pays me. Oh, wait, I do this for the love and adoration of the members, yeah, that's it! I love my job, I love my job, I love my job ...

I have been thinking about that one for a long time now. That will be an undertaking, but is doable.MONSTER wrote:Any chance the Feedback Thread could be cleaned up somehow? Its truely a mess. Re: What do you think of the new forum?
The problem is that no one wants to search for the seller/buyer's feedback thread to make a post because it's faster and easier to just make a new thread. We've got the same problem over at Clodtalk and had proposed the same solution when the new forum came online 4 or 5 years ago (one thread for all feedback for each person ). About the only way this could be made easy for the user would be to have an alphabetized list of all the buyer/seller's that is searchable, so the user is not guessing which page they need to go to.mrlexan wrote:I have been thinking about that one for a long time now. Re: What do you think of the new forum?
It took me awhile to figure everything out as I was just looking under the general tab and wondering were everthing went. As for the new layout, I think it's great. It should make it easy find things in my opinion.

Re: What do you think of the new forum?
Still the best way to get the most current posts on the forums. Takes 2 minutes to look through everything and then you can move on. No more complicated than it was last week, other than the fact that now REALLY old threads are being discovered by some and fired back up for some reason.Mr. ED wrote:I've been clicking the 'view new posts' link most of the time after i discovered it last year.
Looks good guys.

I was wondering how long that will go on, no worries, time for the newbies to read up on lost info.Eau Rouge wrote:Mr. ED wrote:other than the fact that now REALLY old threads are being discovered by some and fired back up for some reason.

Re: What do you think of the new forum?
For me, it seems like I'm having a hard time seeing everything. I like the fact that non-rc10 section has been added.
I guess I just need to get use to the new format. I'm sure that I'll catch on in a couple of days.
Regards,
highwayracer

Re: What do you think of the new forum?
the change and moving around of stuff has to be done if we are going to be able to manage/organize all the info successfully in the future.
i would hate to be organizing & moving posts two or three years down the road...
