Thank you! I'm optimistic. I put heat shrink on it and hope it lasts..Though I need to also work on the heat shrink part because of the unnatural 90 degree connections.

Yes, twisting the wire..I think I did forget to do that on the black one. I'm learning!

Thanks all!

I took it out today!!!

Today was the day!

It saw dirt for the first time (and probably the last time)

A quick video of it burning rubber! I tell ya, this car is FUN!

But that fun leads to:

I brought a brush and cleaned the majority of bigger, loose dirt and then put an air can to get the rest but I still have this at home now:

Guys...What do I need to do? Looks like there is caked on dirt all over the shocks and in the CVAs. Am I rebuilding them to be safe? I do have spray cleaner too. Should I spray it, let it dry and then blow the rest of it off?

What about the ESC and Motor? How do you get rid of dirt there?

To be honest, this is the last time I go to the dirt field to bash (It was windy today too.)...If bashing, I'll stick to pavement.. :D

Am I wrong in thinking that my local high bite clay track would be much cleaner?

All in all, this car is super fun! My first time running a Lipo and BL motor was very adrenaline pumping for sure!

I'm guessing you don't have an air compressor in your arsenal ? Ten seconds with an air nozzle does wonders.

I used to use a stiff brush post run to clean up my cars. It was kind of like a paint brush, around 1/2 in diameter. But whatever works for you.....compressor and air nozzle is probably super.

Just don't get carried away with the air compressor pressure and direction. With an air compressor you are actually driving dirt and water into the crevices and crannies that don't normally get dirt in them like ballcups and bearings.

Thanks all!

I did a pretty good job with a paint brush, air canister and a lightly damp towel. I'm going to try not to be so obsessive about this. Dirt is just surface. Every once in a while, I will break things down to clean it and more often if/when I race...I think that's the routine I want to get in rather than worry about every single run...Especially today's. I got very carried away with donuts and stuff...It was fun. :D
