RC10 Worlds Kits all gone?

Post by rraeford »

I see that Associated has the 6002 kit listed as out of stock. Also I noticed there are none listed for sale anywhere. There are only a couple on ebay and they are priced at or near full MSRP. Did I miss a post? Hard to believe they all disappeared so fast. Glad I snagged one while they were cheap.

Yes according to Associated they won't be getting any more

Until a year from now when they "search the globe" and find a few to sell at full retail

I knew they'd drop it eventually. What is interesting to me is how fast they disappeared off of ebay. Maybe I underestimate how many people are watching.

Wow, that was a quick and probably successful run for Amain and Hobbytown. From talking to my LHS, they believe that AE did the run just for them because they never even heard that the Worlds re-re was available...Glad I snagged one.

It's bittersweet. On one hand we got cars and parts to keep us going for a couple more years, on the other hand the small failures that plagued the car likely killed any success and possible future for re-re's.

I just picked one up in December, and a buddy of mine has been waiting to pick one up to use as parts to update an A pan runner...he's not too pleased now that he can't find one.

Hopefully parts stay available for a little while, as I plan to use mine quite a bit

Tower hobbies had the kits marked as discontinued for awhile now. When you see that, you don't wait around to buy one.

One just pop'd up on ebay... starting bid 300 and Buy-it-now of 500...

I guess I lucked out to get mine a few months ago... Got open-box one w/ new Jconcept tires for $140 shipped. Looking like a total robbery now. :D

Hey it actually happens. When they moved from Cadillac Ave in Costa Mesa to Aliso Viejo. They did find new in box RC500 and a Rc250 at least. and that was decades later. Brad when he started there in 2000 found some of the Baja truck bodies. I was given a Red annodized chassis set that no one new was in the back.

If anyone is in eastern Washington, B&B Hobbies in Spokane still has one Worlds kit. Almost bought it for myself, but I have enough cars.

There is a shop on eBay that still sells them. You just have to part with 292 dollars to get one.
