Joey's RC10 World's Car Re-Release
Hi guys. Here is my Team Associated World's Car re-release. I completed the build last year (Sept. 2016). Some of you might remember seeing it. I haven't done anything to it since then, and it has only been driven a couple times. It was a really fun car to build, and I really would like to add some older aftermarket hop-ups to it. It already has ball-bearing steering, JC Diamond nose tubes in silver, and blue B44 thumbscrews for the battery strap. I would love love love some aluminum rims! If anyone has sources on that, please let me know. I painted the body myself. It's a simple tape job. Besides looking like a minion...it's clean cut.
These are some of the first pictures taken of the car: ( I cut the wing too short on accident, but replaced it with a 5.5" wing)

Re: Joey's RC10 World's Car Re-Release
LOL about it looking like a Minion, didn't notice that first time around ( I didn't read it, just looked at the pics )
That car is dieing for some Ti turnbuckles if you're looking to add some more bling to it. The stock steel ones bend easily too, so the Ti ones are a functional upgrade

I agree on the ti, and Lunsford still sells the classic style which look awesome on there
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Joey's RC10 World's Car Re-Release
Well, you know what's funny is... I didn't even mean to paint it like a minion. It just ended up that way. I swear! Now that I think about it, my wife and I watched the Minion's movie around the time I painted it. Ya, I agree on the Ti-turnbuckles. I saw some old (tenecraft?) turnbuckles on ebay, but not sure if they were for the World's or the Gold Pan. They had holes through the center for making adjustments. You can't go wrong with Lunsford either. I appreciate the suggestion, and thank you for the compliments!

Go with some color coordinated RPM ball ends too. I have been running mine at track and stock ones pop too easy. RPM will look cool and be more functional. As for tecnacraft vs. Lunsford, both are great, Tecnacraft always wins the bling factor for me if your budget allows.

I still find the hole in middle the easiest to deal with over a wrench as well. Wish someone would make them again.

Re: Joey's RC10 World's Car Re-Release
At the VONATs I had issues w/ the stock and RPM ballcups popping off ... i used NEW ballstuds and NEW cups... still popped steering links. Maybe cause the servos are so strong now? Anyway, I replaced them w/ captured ends on the steering links... No more problems.

Re: Joey's RC10 World's Car Re-Release
Definitly an issue I faced on mine too. You are probably right about servos, I adjusted my endpoints to help and it seemed to do the trick. The Savox servo I use is fast and strong.

Re: Joey's RC10 World's Car Re-Release
I tweaked my endpoints too... but going fast and rubbing that ribbed pipe slightly would just catch the tire and pop cup... those savox servos, yeah very fast and very strong... but kinda loud. lol
