Yes they look real good. The area that the chassis meets went together real smooth. Better than original in my opinion.

Definitely looks good but as it's your own personal financial commitment at stake, the error needs correcting and you need to be 100% happy with the final result.

no worries in the delay. Its nice to know that you will not put this out till you r are 100% satisfied with it. IF takes a little longer, gives me some time to save and prep my xx's for rebuild. (1 good black bulkhead still) but waiting to replace all 3 of my xx's with your bulkhead, Not even going to attempt an ebay overpriced buy. PLus mine are all runner no shelf queens.

Function over Form.

I was just wondering if we need to sign up to a pre order list for these?
Or will they just be available at your store when ready.
Thanks

You don't need to pre-order, but you can sign up on the product page for email alert when they go on pre-order. This won't sign you up for junk mail, so nobody needs to worry about that. I don't send out junky ads.

There also might be a financial incentive to pre-order. At least that is the rumor going around. :)

*******

We did some more measurements and the whole thing was smaller than it should have been. This is the reason for the top being thin. The expert got back yesterday and they found out the issue is shrinkage in the plastic. It is shrinking a lot more than the suppliers info says it should. Over double the amount of shrinkage. So they are talking with the supplier and also going to try some things to see if they can get it under control as it comes out of the mold. So once the shrinkage issue is figured out we should be able to get things going for production. But I have no time frame at this point. Who knows how long that will take to figure out the shrinkage.

Well I got the latest update. They did all the testing and consulting with the plastics material company and decided they had to change the mold. THey sent it off to have steel micro welded back into the mold and then are going to be cutting material out again to give the part a little bit bigger size in the mold to compensate for the amount of shrinkage as it cools. Good news for me is that I didn't have to pay to have this done.

Will be talking to them later this week about schedule for completion. They will of course do another test run and I will test the parts again for fit. Then after that hopefully it goes full production.

Great news, I have been testing the latest parts off the mold and we look to be ready to go into full production.
Was running the XXT setup at the races this weekend. Put the part to the test pretty good a couple of times. Did a nice set of somersaults down the straight for about 25 feet. Was worried on that one, but everything was fine.

I will be telling them to start the production and then hopefully get a good date for completion.

I have a small batch we ran that will go up for sale soon. Please don't ask for me to hold one for you. Just get signed up on the product page for the email alert. http://sabulatech.com/storefront/product.php?id_product=2618

They will initially be priced at of $17 for one, $16 for each if you order 2, and $15 for each if you order 3 or more. After the pre-order they will go to $18, $17, $16 price structure.

A small batch of 10 is up for sale now. The rest are due May 30th. http://sabulatech.com/storefront/product.php?id_product=2618

Hooray!! Seriously, this has been way more work than I ever thought it would be.

Made from the exact same material as the originals. These new parts have an "ST" molded into the nose portion of bulkhead.

The new bulkheads have a small change in the design. The portion that the shock tower attaches to is set slightly farther back.
This change fixes as issue with the original design. On the original XX buggy towers the shocks would rub up against the shock tower and cause binding in the suspension.

Due to this change the kick up on the front has been lowered by roughly 1 percent.

Owners may also notice that this causes the body to fit a little tighter on the body mounts. The body mounts are now a slightly farther apart. It will be noticed most by XXT owners. Our test units fit without alteration, but it is a tighter fit and holes may have to be enlarged depending on how the body originally fit.
