New RC10 parts. The first Associated parts!

Post by mytimac »

These look to be pretty much finished now. Will work on getting more product pictures soon. Right now just have final prints of the versions without the wire clip. Then more pictures and get them up on the store.

I have now tested on 3 different chassis setups.
Gold Pan A stamp with offset holes.
The TQ chassis with centered holes.
The late model black chassis with centered farther forward holes.

These will allow up to 3 different battery types to be used depending on the setup you buy.
3 different models for each chassis. Universal, Basic, and Shorty Lipo Only. No more hacking your chassis or battery cups. None of them require and permanent changes to your chassis or other parts.

Universal :
Allows the use of Shorty Lipo packs, the smaller full size lipo packs "24mm height", and the Ni-Mh Stick packs. Has notch in front for stick pack wires.
Comes with cup, adjustable shorty pack strap, rear battery holders. Will include hardware for back holders, and adjustable strap.

Basic :
Allows the use of the smaller full size lipo packs "24mm height", and the Ni-Mh Stick packs.
Comes with cup, basic pack strap, Will include hardware for strap.

Shorty Lipo Only :
Allows the use of Shorty Lipo packs only. Leaves room in front of battery to mount small electronics parts.
Comes with cup, adjustable shorty pack strap, rear battery holders. Will include hardware for back holders, and adjustable strap.

They are up for sale now. The Basic model actually weighs a little less than the standard Associated cup with all its parts. Price starts at $7.59 for the Basic.

There is 12 different versions in 8 different colors available to choose from. Took a lot of work and testing to get to this point.
If there is interest I can make a version available from Shapeways. But our in house versions would be far cheaper than anything from Shapeways and includes the hardware.

So here they are.
