Can anyone provide a source on the nut? What size is it?

Thanks Limestang

It was a full surprise for me to see a thin nut under right side bellcrank/servo saver in this original Stealth steering picture. My current design does not have that nut as you can see from 2014-08-13 dated exploded view drawing. When I get back home next week, I will check a corrective action for this. Sorry.
This does not affect optional "race" steering.

It's a standard 8-32 mini nut (small pattern) like used on 10T's rear inner arm mounts and Jake is including them with the chassis sets but you can also get them from mcmaster carr

No problems, I bought a NIP from my local hobby shop not long ago.

So they are still out there!

Some people want the right parts for their builds, 8182's are aluminum.

Thanks for the info. I found a small steel nut (Matched to correct size) and drilled and tapped for 8-32 threads. It worked great and saved me a trip to the LHS/Ebay. If anyone wants to try, here's what I recommend:
1) Use a drill press and hold part in a vise
2) Drill hole to the correct size in small increments. I ended up using 4 drill sizes. Oil drill bit between cuts.
3) Tap threads slowly.
4) clean off burs and oil residue

Limestang I thought about the same thing with the associated springs. So I bought a set of the copper truck springs. Wow they are stiff! Here's the difference between stock spring and truck spring..... close but not quite :(

Yes, not a good match - Thanks for checking. I will have to go with AE gold for now. Since the yokomo springs are copper plated steel, I wonder if painted springs could be stripped and copper plated? Anyone have a source for plating copper? I think chrome bumpers on cars are first plated in copper. If we got enough interest, perhaps a bulk order could be arranged, keeping the cost reasonable.

Ok, its past midnight in Austin TX, and I got a hair brain idea cooking. Check the youtube link. I may have to try this out. Perhaps a cheap solution to the copper spring dilema...

Yeah copper plating is pretty common. Caswell has a pretty cheap brush on plating kit that might be a perfect dip for springs.

Last week on ebay there was a guy selling rear springs sets for the yokomo y-10. In it was a pair of copper springs. They were cheap so i grabbed a pack. They are a coil too tall so for a replica they wouldn't fly..... even though most people probably wouldn't even be able to pick that out.

Anyways, I can't say that I've ever studied what copper plating looks like up close, but these springs look painted. When you run a piece of sandpaper over them, you can see the copper color on the paper. Just throwing that out there.....

New stronger rear arm mounts are ready for racers and runners. Also smooths out stress in mounting holes.

NIX91-153 Race rear arm mount (1.5deg toe-in/side + 3deg anti-squat)
NIX91-033 Race rear arm mount (3deg toe-in/side + 3deg anti-squat)
NIX91-032 Race rear arm mount (3deg toe-in/side + 2deg anti-squat)
NIX91-031 Race rear arm mount (3deg toe-in/side + 1deg anti-squat)

NIX91-001 still available for replicas.
