Just put it back together for the last time!! those fender flairs suck, my hand is killing me. but over all I am very happy with it. the Camera doesnt really pick up how Rich the Blue color is. I just need to Armor All the tires. tomorrow I will hook the radio back up and take it out side for some proper pictures, and a run around the yard.

The fender flares don't look bad at all. I'm sure you say that cause you put them on and know all the subtle flaws we don't see. What I do see is the driving light's wire hanging down though. I'd tuck that up before running it. Looks awesome!

I love the Flairs they are just 5 tiny bolts each. and vey hard to thread together. they made my hand cramp up putting them on. the wires are hanging down, all of the insides are pulled out. I had to take the whole thing apart to get the wheel base right to fit the body. I need to finish putting it all back together. it was a pain, but I am real happy with the result.

I've done some minor update to mine. I bought a black metal meshed file holder and changed the grill and added a basket for scale stuff in the back. I ordered a toyota steering wheel, a high-lift jack and a fire extinguisher the other day. I am also working with someone to custom build a tube bumper with a chassis mounted servo kit incorporated into it...not cheap  And I cant wait to get home from working in the field because I have Walker Evans beadlock wheels waiting for me :D

Imagine a similar bumper like this on the front 8)

The only issuer with an Axial Wraith build is that it's easy to get caught up in all the hopups. You can almost customize it as much as an RC10. It's also a good 2.2 scale build too. I would probably use that green bronco body for my build if I wasn't a Toyota nut. I guess it also good in the way you can make it your own, it just cost extra money is all. It's $250 for that custom bumper and I'm also getting a custom light bar from the same guy...it just keeps adding up.

I was just thinking...I swapped out a lot of parts to build mine, so if you are interested in them to start off a build project it could be something to consider. The only thing I kept from the original is the cage, tranny, diffs and rear axles. There are a couple of non-functional things here and there too, such as a couple interior scale parts like the steering wheel shaft and the lights. I used the hardware and bearings, but everything else is there, wheels, shocks, linkages, tranny plate, axle housings and everything that is associated with them (hubs, linkage and shock mounts, servo plate & mount), drive shafts, knuckles (-one), and aftermarket steering link. I even bought new seats and electronic mounts so the battery tray, esc mount and esc box would also be included . I might be missing something, but I think that's it in a nutshell.

Anyway, something to consider

Here is a flex shot I had to share. It's been sitting on my desk like this for a couple of hours and I seem to keep on glancing over at it

Whaaaat?! You can honestly get a real TJ or JK bumper for that price:
