where did the Futaba Magnum Racer come from?

I don't ever recall seeing a Futaba Magnum Racer from Great planes, were these from a different country? Just won a car on eBay with one. The designation is the same as the Junior

Can't answer the question, but I've never seen one. Pretty cool. The Magnum Jr. Is my personal all time favorite because that's what I raced with for years. Cool and curious piece you have there.

I have one; got in new in late 1987. They're exactly the same as the Jr. but, IIRC, only came with 27 MHz frequencies.

I had a radio at one time like that, but I thought it was a Magnum Sport. It was like a Magnum Jr. with no fancy adjustments, only trims. Interesting to know there was a "Racer" as well.
