so i was going to drop 4 bux on a bag of mcmaster-carr orings for my builds, and i cant get passed the material comparison page
wondering if anyone has tried anything besides the Silicone, seems other materials have better wear, resistance to shock oil.... any thoughts/experiences??

Re: shock o-ring options?
The silicone ones really are the overall best product out there (save for the Kyosho X rings) you can equip the shocks with standard rubber, but they stick and wear out shafts like sandpaper.
Re: shock o-ring options?
Silicone is the general consensus... I believe it has something to do with the silicone shock oil causes the silicone o-rings to swell slightly...? That's what I've heard but I may be off base. Someone straighten me out if I'm wrong!
I also think a hardened shock shaft will be mucho beneficial; better wear resistance than a regular steel one. Or I guess you could refurb an old one by repolishing it to get rid of the grooves and scratches. It's just that it would require more regular maintenance than a hardened one.
