Devil is in the details and some of these are going to be fixed! Big thanks to Mark aka Limestang! The receiver is now the correct one although the antenna wire on the original seems to black rather than white. Mark made a special case for it and made the recessed posts.
As I have to tear down the car again, I will grab the opportunity to drill the antenna mount hole and wire the servo.
And here is my interpretation of the fully assembled case. Looks spot on!

Yes Mark, I went from this picture, actually the only one available so far. I just have a feeling Masami used a black plastic cristal cap/plug. Were these included with the receiver originally?

Looking great as usual. Just one question, from every thing I have read and been told, Masami used 1700 SCE Yokomo packs, why did you choose SCR's? As far as I know Kyle Reed was the only top guy in the A main to use an SCR!

Very simply just because that's all I have at hand I'm on a lazy hunt to find the proper 1700 SCE.

Ok that make sense , I do the same thing when I don't have the correct parts. On a side note, he very well may have used SCR's at some point during practice or qualifying.
Glad you guys found and like my slideshow. I also love that guitar theme!
On another note, it seems I finally found the correct shiny Yokomo decal that goes under the wing I'm now just missing the large red KO PROPO one that also goes under the wing and the small black YOKOMO one that goes on the front arm.

All broken links have been fixed here. I also repaired some other threads in the RC10 forum. Will go through the lo my threads as time allows. The trick to add ~original at the end of the image code works really well until Photobucket changes it again... what a pain...

This is something I have wanted to do since seeing the pics of this car posted here. I have all the machines at my disposal to do this but never wanted to really take the dive. I have already started collecting the parts for this car and have...

I'm a bit in doubt, if I should use metric hardware (M3, M4 screws, 3mm hingepins) or US (4-40 and 3-32 and 1/8 hingepins).
US has more style an original look.
Metric is easier to find. And I would have some 3mm titanium rods for the hingepins,...
Didn't see a thread started on this yet. Thanks to Andrew Cooke of Grand Prix 3D for making this dream build possible.

...oh interesting!
I have a B2 gearbox that I've used to therefore make at least a 'B2 compatible 2.4:1' casing! ;-)
This has the slightly larger diff gear than the original stealth, but smaller than the 2.6:1 type, and yes the bigger idler and...

-Custom graphite chassis with 3 forward and 4 rear battery slots.
-MIP SP1 transmission
-Andy's suspension arms (3 white + 1 black :!: )

Found some more pics on The Hirosaka R/C Legends site:
Looks like a different version of the car...chassis is narrower, all 4 arms are white, wheels and wings are changed, and it's got a Yoke under tray. The couple of body on pics don't show...
Hyeong, what's the difference in height of the two rear bulkheads?
Dual told me the difference is 2mm. he get me the original bulkhead too but i didn't measure it myself yet but it looks pretty much 2mm to me
Hey guys, thanks to many of the amazing forum members here my '89 Masami Yokomo YZ10 Worlds replica is coming along well. I just got my 4+2 chassis that I had cut out - here's a teaser of how some of the project is coming along.

I think there's a small update, there's word of a chassis all drawn up and I think the first one had been cut so I think it's just a matter of time before they start poping up  And after a poor replica sold on eBay for nearly $1300 last week...
Big thanks to Hyung, DerbyDan, Cedric, Jeff, Asa, Lee, Peakey, Masami and everyone who helped!
I had a real headache sorting out the front and rear pitch belts/diffs/TCS, initially I was going for M2 up front and M3 to rear but then Dan and I...
