I've always liked the Pantera, the father of a kid I knew in the neighborhood owned one...royal blue with white Shelby stripes. Gorgeous car. Someday I'll do a Pantera body, maybe to fit my CYANide car. What is the exact width at the front & rear wheelwells, and exact wheelbase, axle-to-axle, if you don't mind checking, please?
Completed projects: CYANide Onroad Optima | Zebra Gold Optima | Barney Optima | OptiMutt RWD Mid
Gallery - Coel's Stalls: Marui Galaxy & Shogun Resto-Mods | FrankenBuff AYK Buffalo | 1987 Buick GNX RC12L3

Thanks for the specs, LoboNYC. It looks like my chassis specs are out just a bit, and with that body having molded-in fenders, there's little or no give-or-take, like there is with many bodies having areas where you can cut out your own rear wheel circles. My width across the rear tires is about 220mm and my wheelbase is a hair under 260mm. It's unfortunate cuz it's such a nice body...

UPDATE:

I finally finished the front end. I purchased a HiTEC low profile servo to clear the nose tube braces as well as reverse the left with the right so they sit on the inside of the tube rather than the outside (something Romulus22 had suggested). 4 holes were drilled onto the chassis and the braces were mounted.

The rear tail light panel/ trunk has been attached to the HPI Pantera body via 4 button head screws. The body is ready for paint.

Here are some latest photos. I was not sure about painting green but after a few layers I ended up liking it a lot. The green has slight gold hues at different angles.

I am an ignorant Traxxas guy and even I can see this DS build is off the chain!!!!

I always thought of Pantera's as a poor man's Lambo, or a melt your face metal band. But this bad mambajamba is a melt your face super-build.

Super tastefully executed.

If you're like me, you carry this thing from room to room and look at it all the time. Maybe even compulsively take it to work to gaze upon throuout the day.

Hopefully, you're not like me in that regard......

.....Like taking your Transformers to school and playing with them in your desk cubby while somebody drones on about "math".
Hope you're doin' something fun.

 Thanks!

And Yes!, I do sometimes take one or two cars with me around the apartment to look at them. Thats the best i can do since my wife shot down the idea of combining RC's with furniture...like my idea for a DS Porsche Lamp...or a DS coffee table Barracuda (great for conversation with guests).

AS for school...i didnt take transformers...i did one better, hahahaha.....i took a speech class in college and the topic i chose to write about was Radio Control: RC10GT. The speech was about the experience of 10th scale nitro racing. I ended the speech by revving the crap out of the GT i brought for show. Yes there was exhaust everywhere and fuel oil residue on the floor and on my speech ....but i passed with an A

Thanks!!! It was a fun build with a few little headaches but im happy with outcome.

I have not run it as of yet. I need a brushless esc/engine setup.

However i am eager to run this DS as a midengine car to compare its handling characteristics over a rear engine DS car.
