Team Losi Junior T

Post by Dangeruss »

In 1991 Team Losi released a new entry level 1/10 2wd electric truck to their lineup, The Junior T. A baby brother to the JRxT race truck the Junior T was designed to make truck racing more affordable for novices just as the Junior 2 had done for buggy racers the year prior, and was nearly part for part and identical twin to the Junior 2. The Junior T rode on the same all plastic chassis with its JRx Pro wheelbase, 30 degree kickup, and bulkhead reinforcing top brace. It used the Jrx2 style lower a-arm/threaded camber link design front suspension and Jrx Pro h-arms with threaded camber links in the rear and accommodated the installation of Losi's 5-link rear suspension too. Steering was a-la Jrx2 as well with its saver integrated bellcrank arrangement. Losi's 48-pitch, ball-diff equipped, self-lubricating transmission with aluminum motor plate was present and accounted for but unlike the Junior 2, it wore a 48-pitch beveled spur gear. The Junior T sported the JRx2's shorter oil-filled anodized aluminum coilover shocks with adjustable spring collars, perched on Junior 2 plastic shock towers front and rear. Wheels were large 2.2 truck specific one-piece components fitted with Ribbed front and Spiked rear tires rotating on plastic bushings instead of bearings. The Junior T also received its own clear lexan body and was sold as an unassembled kit less electronics and radio:
