How many times did bushed motors suck up staples from the bench or other magnetic rubbish... good times

Skipped out of work an hour early because there is a kit (LD3 dirt) waiting on the porch. The build will be fun. After that, I have no idea what I will do with it.

Ideas how to remove some of this stubborn hard ultra-crusty 32 year old tape adhesive off without jacking up the old anodize anymore than it already is?

I always heard wd40 is safe. Just needs a lot of time to soak

So soakage is key..? I did the spray and wipe method with WD, but did not let it soak in for any length of time. I'll give the soak a shot for deeper penetration.

I'd give the spray can of Good-Off a go, but I'm still a bit at odds with that nuclear sh!t at the moment.

Definitely no goof off haha. I have had good luck with citrus cleaners like goo gone but they also require a long soak to loosen old goo. The worst thing with wd40 is just the smell

Soaking in lighter fluid will also soften and release it. It also doesn't leave residue.

Soaked it in WD for a few minutes at a time, it all finally lifted after a few goes and looks damn good now.

Yeah, had to clean off the WD residue afterwards with dish soap. But it cleaned up real well in the end and looks so much better.

Finally had time to sit down and reassemble a Wildebeest I took apart a while back and cleaned up. Got a bunch of new pieces from Crunchy and it all went together nicely. I'm pretty good at the transmissions now, I've been told they never go back together correctly but this one was fine. I did end up swapping out a not-so-round idler though. It went back together as stock with full metal bushings and the upgraded mechanical speed control. Their esc were so bad, on the box it said the mechanical was an upgrade. Lol. The wheels were really badly Browning from age so they got some metallic paint and once dried will be mounted up on monster beetle tires since the originals melted like Kyosho tires.

Viewer discretion advised- these things are ugly and may cause nightmares

I wandered into the "work station", gazed upon my meager collection of unfinished works, sifted through some spare goodies, sighed, and walked away.

I can relate to the above post, but in a shocking development I came out to the barn to watch the Colts for a bit and the one B3 I have left caught my eye. Decided to open the r/c tool box for the first time in a long time. Gonna tear it down to run it with the greatest motor of all time. The Johnson 540. All any car needs imo.

Was planning on assembling one of the RC10 Team cars today, but my KNK hardware kits, which were supposed to deliver yesterday, ended up at another town's post office 15 miles northwest of me. Wish I would have checked delivery status yesterday morning, I would've called them and drove over there to pick up the package
