I finally got around to swapping out the servo. Battery charger worked with no problems. Bench tested and everything seems to be in order. I am finally ready for the track!!!

I made it out to the track and with only one other B4 for the bomber class it ended up being a practice day. The good news... the bomber is SET UP! I ran a few laps and made exactly two adjustments on the springs.
I smoked the B4 on a loose dirt track. Granted, the guy running the B4 was still dialing in the setup. When I arrived he could not make one lap around without spinning. I suggested he back off the slipper and trim down the steering which helped tremendously. Once the B4 has correct gearing, I imagine we will be neck and neck.
I was running full out the minute the car hit the track. I performed one cartwheel, greeted a few walls and walked away with one pulled rod end. I am stoked!
Russ, I look forward to running with you. BTW you took the allen wrench for the idlers but forgot the chassis!

You can tell I'm getting old...3/4 of the way home, I remembered the chassis. But thanks for the wrench...You're a lifesaver.
It was really good meeting you. I'm always glad to put a face to the people I'm corresponding with. But after seeing your car run, I'm not sure it was a good idea telling you about the track....the competition may be too much for me!
It hooked up great. It drove pretty much the way I wanted to get my 6 gear to handle. Race days are gonna be fun!

Good meeting you too Russ.
I would say your driving skills are better than you think. You took my unfamiliar car and ran good laps. Race day will definitely be a blast!
I will bring the chassis the next time we get together.

A lot of it had to do with your setup. I've never had much finese' when I raced, and would just pitch it when I got to the corner. I couldn't quite get mine to do that at this track. Your car is easy to drive.

I bet you could run lighter weight oil with the TC shocks.
I am currently set up with 50wt/bronze front right, 30wt/silver front left, 30wt/red rear left and right. Your set up suggestion of the red rear springs made the difference.

The DS seems to be pretty hooked up with blue springs, but I'll probably go with lighter oil on the 6 gear. The red springs on the rear did make an improvement, but one thing I noticed was your car had a lot of droop all the way around. I think I was set up too stiff for the track....Old thinking doesn't seem to work with modern tires.

Spam... added Associated decals to cut down on the questions.

Nice perspective.

I love artsy r/c photos! That's one thing I'd like to see a bit more of. There are several here that do a nice job of going the extra mile. Myself not included(because I don't have the skills

). ireg takes some great and entertaining photos! I wish he'd post more. Along with several other members.

Thanks! I enjoy photography. The truth is the white counter and wall make it easier to take cool pics. I try not to spam too much... I rarely have anything meaningful to contribute

Hmmm, meaningful??

I'm not familiar with that term. I'll have to look it up on Wikipedia or something.

I always keep a set of these in my parts bin...I have no idea what a 10R5 is, but there's a lot of old and new logos on it.

Oh THAT'S why I didn't know.......the whine and cheese crowd.
Excuse my ignorance, I'm just a good ol' boy dirt tracker.
But seriously, I haven't kept up with anything new from the last few years.
