Could this type of arm widening be done for the B2/B3 and retain driveablity? I read somewhere long ago someone tried to convert a B2 to modern wheels and it messed up all the roll centers and they couldn't get the buggy to turn/handle properly. I would love to drive my B2 more at our track, but it is hard tracking down the correct narrow fronts (or making them) and pin rears, not to mention the cost of buying double the wheels/tires. If I could use my B5m wheels it would be so much easier!

you should be able to use the re-release worlds wheels to fit the b2/b3. rears are drop on, the front are b4, but trim the inner ring.

The B3 outer to outer hinge pin distance is the same as the B4/5 distance so it would seem that you should be able to use SC10 front hubs on a B3 arm and use modern hex front wheels with no issues. At the rear you should just be able to add hexes on a B3 rear arm equipped car and use modern hex rears. That's just a hunch and would need to be verified though.

I didn't think you were trying to copy the geometry. I was trying to note the evolution was move the holes closer together, like you've done, and their progression to only play with placement of an outer mount position, not more inner holes.

Your arms sound perfect for the project I'm building!!

I've had my car with these arms on the track a couple times, and some pretty good crashes, so far so good with the durability of these.

How have you changed your shock setup for them?

Fred I got my arms today. I've got them died and I've already mounted him. These are awesome! What a great design thank you for making them!! I followed your steps and they mount up perfectly. I still the original arm inner hinge pins.

I can't wait for sle track time!

I'm thinking about doing an alternate rear arm that allows the use of B5 rear hubs. I'm also going to do a set of wide front arms for the RPM world's conversions but they'll look like these fronts. At least as much as possible.

What's the RPM World's conversion?

Now.. If you were going to make an alternative rear arms for B5 hub, you have to do the same for the front too!! Just saying.. Ying/Yang and all that. Lol
