This other one-off bumper of his went for $400

for that kind of money I sure hope the winch works

I would hope so. He said a tube bumper would be cheaper, but still costly at $225 and he also has a sweet light bar for the roof for $75. I just keeps adding up that's for sure.

Thanks for the funding for my new motor Rick!
Here is what I got
This is the text from their site
This is the 2012 Team Edition Crawlmaster 540 Brushed motor, the most advanced brushed motor on the market! It is designed for best low speed control, highest low speed efficiency, and longest life. The Checkpoint endbell is now exclusive to Holmes, giving the most reliable and long lived brushed motor on the market!
* Hand-Wound Armature – Our professional team armatures feature a handwound pattern wind with maximum wire sizes developed to take all that your high power electronics can dish out. Wind termination is reinforced using high-temp silver based alloys, with state of the art resin impregnated coils. Armatures are precision epoxy balanced and the commutator is diamond trued. All armatures are marked with wind. One cannot build a finer or more precise armature!
* Checkpoint Brush and 7.5mm Comm- Maximizes power and motor longevity
* Machined brush tube for exact tolerances
* 5 slot armature- offers the finest low speed control and low speed efficiency
* Epoxy balanced armature for highest torque and efficiency
* Can – 1.4mm thick can features minimal venting and two high-power FB9 wet magnets to maximize torque and efficiency
* Dual Japanese ABEC 3 Ball bearings
* Adjustable timing
* Neutrally timed for no risk of improper installation, unless otherwise specified
All Kv (rpm per volt) measurements taken at zero timing, no load, and 7 volts.
Rock Racer speeds
11t- 2675Kv
13t- 2250Kv
Rock Crawling speeds
16t- 1850Kv
20t- 1500Kv
28t- 1250kv
32t- 1110Kv
I got the 13t with the ceramic bearing upgrade. I almost got the 11t, but didn't want to push the limit with this rig with all the money I got invested in it so far.

Have you ran a Venom system before, I was wondering how they were? I was thinking about getting a 10.5 brushless system for a RC10 but hadn't been able to get to buying it lately.

I have ran this system in my SCX10 Bronco its really slow but has unbeliveable torque and power. just no topend

its more like a Billygoat it will climb anything.

So, it's ideal for a scale truck. I would imagine the brushless system with the appropriate motor would be alright for a RC10 then.
Here the latest on my Wraith...since everyone and their sister has told me that spending $225 on a custom bumper with incorporated chassis mount servo for my build is retarded (not my words, but) I decided to see what it would cost for a classic Toyota tube bumper would cost.
I tried and fail miserably to build one myself out of a solid aluminum rod

Mine isn't square, the spacing is too far apart, and the best part is that I don't know anyone to weld aluminum to attach the 2 horizontal pieces to the vertical pieces, lol. I don't think tape will do. If I stay with this kind of bumper I still have to pay $17 for a Vanquish chassis mounted servo kit and $23 for shipping to Canada, lol. Shipping to Canada from American stores is just plain stupid. I could sell off one of my RC10s to pay for building this thing, but I'm not that desperate yet.

As great as that truck looks it needs a nice bumper on the front. but 250.00 is a lot, I bet you could make one I am going to try and make one from steel. I cant weld Aluminum but I can steel.

I've seen that too but I'm quite sure it's too wide.

It looks too wide. Can you measure it? The bumper at the tip of the page has got to only be a few inches wide
