Well I have been busy, I stripped my other xx4 down to nothing and started to rebuild, removed the plastic front outdrives and went to steel. I assembled step by step as per manual just for kicks and noticed they call for a o-ring around front diff bearing? neither one of my cars have em are they needed or just hold the bearing from spinning in housing? keep dirt out?

I've never run the O rings, and haven't noticed any bearing wear.
I do strip and clean my cars after each run, though.
I bought a new Graphite W.E. chassis and when it arrived,it had a damn Street Weapon chassis in it.
Not happy. :(
Even the header card read 'Low C.G. Chassis XX4'.
Someone at Losi's packing plant must have been stoned, that day,I guess.

I think there's a S.W. bumper set on eBay,right now....The front mounts look like a generic item,the rears,not so much.
Here is a bumper set:

The vintagelosi.com site was just updated with some new content.
There is a new 1 part XX4 manual. It contains all the pages, unlike the Losi version, and has notes on when to reference the Addendum for WE XX4.

Hey Luke, check out what I managed to pick up :D
Got a used set of mounts, too.
I have a NIP decal set,all I need now is the truck body, but I'm not too sure how close the BlueGroove repros are.
Finding a Losi one will be next to impossible, but you never know.

Little birdy told me of a body mount set which I have installed now and waiting for my painter (me) to quit being lazy and spray some colour on it.

Im sure you can spot it right side near bottom. I dont have Losi body to compare but Im quite happy with the TBG one. I only have it rough trimmed at the moment.

My eyes are drawn to that car third from the top on the right...looks like an AYK but the dual front shocks and vertical rear shocks indicates it's not a Buffalo. What are those gold wheels?

While yours is cleaner looking, mine is still easier on the eyes to read. :P

All the dots are done with a black sharpie. the lines are painstakenly trimmed by hand thru liquid mask.

Any chance of getting a copy of the heavy metal decal sheet? or is it just parts of other sheets?
