Ill be honest I was hoping this would be much faster than what I've gotten it to so far. My old SC10 with the Traxxas brushless setup on 3s was reaching the same speeds by radar gun. The SC10 floated a lot at speed but I didn't crash it but maybe a few times.

Just checked the settings on the ESC. Apparently I set the drag brake at 60% oops

everything else to my knowledge looks like its setup to have full power in forward. Even a setting in there for normal or reverse motor rotation. So I switched that and matched the colors back up at the motor. Hopefully going to take it out here in a little bit if the weather holds out for some testing with the original gears.

Well its official. This car is impossible to keep straight when the wheels are not pulling it forward. Even with the drag brake at 0 it still goes sideways and flips. So.... Another body destroyed. I did do one kamikaze run no body to see what would happen. Car stayed perfectly planted the whole time. And managed my fastest run no body. And on the return trip it was pulling hard. Some how either the bone popped and broke the arm or the arm just finally let go.

Time to add another gearbox! Don't give up yet. You could always add a mechanical brake for the rear wheels but if your gonna add weight might as well add a gearbox. Instead of dual motors you could possible add a pulley to the slipper (by where the brake nut went?) and drive the rear gearbox that way.

I tried fwd drag slot cars and had a great issue at the end of the track also. When it hit the vht and full brake the back end would come around and the guy behind the counter would have to duck or get hit lmfao
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Good news and bad news.

Bad, by time I got to my new spot. With the storm rolling in. Its near pitch black out here. Secondly. Three runs. GPS never started

The good. This thing is wicked fast on 6s. Even better. It is so planted and easy to control with the body off.

I made three passes with an all black car in this. Wish it wasn't going to storm all day tomorrow :x

Incase anyone was wondering what it weighs now on 6s

Nice work! you are finally on to something wit the 6s. I kind of thought weight was an issue. That sucks the GPS did not start up. You probably broke your last speed run. :D

Oh I know for a fact it broke my 77.4, but by how much..... I was pretty mad at my phone and the whole getting dark at 5:30. When I was at the end of the strip I couldn't even tell which way the car was pointing. I has to slowly give it throttle and see which way the small black dot was going. If it wasn't going left or right I figured it was coming at me so I got on it. One of the hardest things I've tried to do in a while. And as far as weight being an issue. I didn't think how little this car weighed would be an issue at all. I'm honestly surprised this car didn't do 100 on 4s with how little it weighs.

I broke the lexan under tray the first run out. Been running without it since. The car as you see it on the scale is how I ran it tonight when it drove better than it ever has.

That's why I chose a cut-up GT2 body for my speedster.

Of course, I need the flow-through to cool the nitro engine, or I probably wouldn't have a gaping hole in the windshield.

Just enough to protect things, but doesn't catch wind and lift the vehicle up. I've found it difficult to achieve sufficient downforce in the right places to counter a body that is acting like a parachute at 80+ MPH. Maybe if we had access to wind tunnels..........

What you need to find if a very aerodynamic body that is long and narrow, leaving the wheels and arms exposed. Basically like an airplane fuselage.

Pretty much, yeah.

As an aside, I finally got around to doing break-in on that Nova. Yeah....gonna need to block off that hole and/or run a hot plug. Highest temp I saw was 181*F, was consistently between 130*-150*. I like to keep 'em cooler during break in, but that is flat out cold.
