way cool, I know the mechanics of the scorpion inside out and the buggy is like 90% a clone copy. :D

the rear trailing arms, tires, shocks differ but the difference is minor. Man the gearbox is true to the original with added metal gears - BALL DIFF and SLIPPER CLUTCH - what more can you ask for!!!!!!

I am not buying this buggy but I will buy parts like the complete gearbox. I still prefer the original, but I was simply blown by the re-release. It truly holds the essence of the original .

Kyosho did their homework well - they know that majority of the owners are collectors. restoreres, experts, die-heart fans and to please them, they had to stay true to the original design. Expect kyosho to make $$$$$ and also Pargu, it is the only company making alloy wheels, since the re-release will cost much less than building the legend, you will have spare change in pocket to get a set from Pargu

Please oh please Mr Kyosho, I'd very much LURVE for the Optima to be rereleased also. The Optima would outsell any of their other cars easily!

Ha ha ha- I have a raider in nos condition, bought it at the flea/ swap meet. Thought it was cool as t had the gold shocks. It was the turbo raider. Did a lot of upgrades, rod end linkages, carbon fiber shock towers and bumper etc.

Well coming back to the topic of re release, one buggy at a time please. Give kyosho some breathing space. We need them to release not one but a few of the iconic buggies. My next guess will be the tomahawk cause it is almost based off the same pattern

And yes the tires have both the good year and sand super BUT the Goodyear lettering seem to be printed on only. Great for racing I am are but I will take a set of vintage tires anytime! Now what I am interested are the trailing arms and complete gearbox.

Which is why they should do the Javelin. In all three colours (even though that will kill the secondary market for vintage cages). With both the chain drive parts (for the purists) and the belt drive (for those that want to run it). With a modernized gear box with slipper.

Is it too early to wish for a ZX-S reissue?

The progress came before the Optima right? I think it had 4 wheel steering?
