A journey off the beaten path...
You have overcome a lot of obstacles and I'm quite certain pleased with the results.
Congrats!

Can't wait to see the body painted and on the car.
Now can you, will you, keep the car of the shelf?

Once again, very cool.

...Erin Loechner!?
Yes I have to admit that i'm very pleased so far. Thank you, Chuck.
My aim is to drive it. I know the design has some flaws. I just hope nothing major will break once on the track..

Thank you so much, mikea96!

I’m sorry there’s soo much information in this pic.
I’ve used Kyosho UTW9 undertray body posts to secure the body at the rear. Looks really clean and not too much fabrications to be made. I also mounted the HPI wing mounts.
Next up is wing wire and wing buttons.

Nope, not Erin Lochner, just me. Waxing poetic.
When you get to my age, as an old friend of mine would say "it's allowed". :)

Are those 90 bullet connectors on those wires? Can you explain that a little more? Would love to use something like that.

Beautiful work as always. Nice choice on the body posts. Putting those away in the memory banks for future use.

Thanks you, jwscab
The angle battery connectors are Yeah racing wpt-0121. Both 4 and 5 mm connectors in the bag.
I really like the clean look of them.
The body posts turned out just right.. Fits like a glove with the Mirage SS body.. now to get them to work with the Kyosho Lazer ZX body too...

Next and final part to be addressed is the Mirage SS body..

Paint scheme influenced by the original RC10 Championship Edition manual.
This Mirage SS body from oldrc.com is soo distorted... I remember reading about a smashed body that was used to make a plug for repro bodies... I’m starting to think this is the one. Oh well!
Need some retouches in stripe lines before the chrome and finally the tint on the windows.

I have to say that viewing this on the PC instead of the phone is so much nicer.

The colors are superb...I can only imagine how much nicer the body will look once the decals are placed.

Even more when the chassis is underneath it...oh man...this is like waiting for Christmas to arrive!!! :D

Well I suppose it's done!.. It's been a blast and really stretching my limits. That was fun!
Only thing left is to drive it... with COVID-19 all indoor tracks are closed and we have a foot of snow outside

Thanks for all the support in this build guys. You rock!
