At risk of hijacking the thread  but it is relevant, Reinaldo has a Youtube channel and he did an overview of the prototype before boxing it up and shipping it off to Jeff, if you haven't seen it check it out:

Looks excellent!!! Coming along very nicely!!!

Are the plastics 3-D printed or machined? They almost look machined, which is why I am asking. Also, for the production run are you planning on anodizing the chassis? Black would look amazing!

Nice work!

Black ano is the plan. As far as the printed parts, these are just resin. They turned out great but not sure if they would handle being ran

While waiting for a few pieces I sat down and re-envisioned the lethal weapon. Parts are getting low, and belts don’t like modern brushless power. The drawing is a b6.3 transmission stuffed inside a lethal weapon footprint, slipper adjustment hanging out the left side. The print shown is the dr10 version with the traditional slipper adjustment.

Checking the internal mesh with some holes in the print.

Is that going to fit an RC10?

Technically it could, but the fitment is the same as the original lethal weapon so you would need to drill the holes, lose the motor plate to chassis connection, and would use the special trans brace. Unfortunately the stealth screw holes are right where the huge diff would sit. The lethal weapon ended up being the perfect size for this.

Really I was doing it for the reproduction A&L prototype

I guess i forgot to post the test prints. One for DR10 based trans internals and one for B6 internals

Well, not so much printing but doing some work in case I want to

I started with everything the proper black color but it all blended in and you couldn’t see a thing

I’d love to use the “2 weeks” Team Associated tag line but we are more like 2 months out on parts. Here is where we are currently.

Parts are modeled and test prints are good- but we aren’t doing printed parts. We have a company that is working with us to mold all the required parts. This is a very spendy process for them and they will be the ones making the money off the parts. We will be molding the front and rear arms, front and rear bulkheads, rear suspension mount, trans case (Lethal Weapon 3!), and front and rear bumpers. Additionally they are going to work on the battery cups, front and rear carriers and steering arms for the RC10 that we would need to finish off the plastics. I will make the towers and the chassis. We will probably have Team KNK do the screw sets. I think we have a lead on hinge pins and turnbuckles- I was hoping to use Lunsford. There will be a laundry list of parts needed to complete- I’ve been working on that as well. It’s not a money making project for me so I have to do it when I have time outside of sales and updating our website. Very similar to the Ten4 before, my profits are going to just be off the stuff I make so all the time I have invested is a throw away. I sincerely hope there is a demand to keep the plastics company happy so we can do more cool stuff in the future.

Great to hear it’s in motion. Molded parts sounds fantastic ! It’s such an exotic looking design, if it performs half as good as it looks besides vintage racing it should be a modern day 2wd podium placer. I truly believe it’ll be the “WEAPON” of choice
Keep us posted, can’t wait to get my hands on one 8)

It's nice where Jeff is going with this project. With he molded parts you're gonna be able to race this thing and not treat it like a delicate flower because it's loaded with printed stuff.
